Meredith Salenger
Salenger grew up in Malibu. Salenger enjoyed performing before her parents and close friends in her early years. In the midst of her eight the mother of her child took her to her very first class in acting. Salenger played a small role as "a dancing and singing orphan" in John Huston's feature film Annie. Salenger was featured in several TV commercials. Salenger made her debut as a lead part for the lead role in The Journey of Natty Gann which was the Disney movie that starred John Cusack with Ray Wise. It was the very first US film to receive the Gold Award at the Moscow Film Festival. She also won "Best Female actress in a film" at the Youth in Film Awards in appreciation of her performance as the charming Natty. In the following four films by the time she turned 18 such as A Night in the Life of Jimmy Reardon She left Hollywood to go to Harvard to further her education.
