A glittering professional's career can conceal many of the most tragic stories. Lolo Jones, winner of both USA championships as well as the World championships in the event of hurdles, was able to achieve her position with a lot struggle and an immense amount of patient. Jones is a child born into a single mother that included five kids living who were stricken by poverty and hardship as a child, had an incredibly difficult childhood. Her mother lived along the street and was even living inside the basement of a local church at times. Jones her nomadic life made her change school every year up to she reached high school. Jones who was interested in athletics during her time at Theodore Roosevelt the high school was able to live away from her mom to explore her interest. Jones was part of different families during high school to be focused on her academics. Jones also performed as a cellist for the school orchestra. While at school, she won the Gatorade Athlete Of The Year Award in Iowa Track and Field. As she began college, Jones proved to be one of the top hurdlers. At the 2002 NCAA Track & Field Championship, she won in the 100m hurdles. She was also one of the participants of the runner-up team in the relay race of 100 meters. Jones was the winner of the NCAA Indoor Hurdles competition in the years 2003 and the 2004. Jones began her track and field career in 2005 when she completed her studies at the university. Jones was the winner of Torino Memorial in 2005, and also Ostrava and Heusden tracks events the following year.
Brandt was raised and born in Cape Town, South Africa. Her family moved from Cape Town to Auckland New Zealand with her family in her late teens. Brandt was discovered in Auckland by casting directors and landed the lead role as Naevia as a character in the Starz hit show Spartacus Blood and Sand and Spartacus Gods of the Arena. Mazikeen is a Vertigo/DC Comics role model who appeared on the hit Netflix program Lucifer. The show ran for more than six years. Brandt will be next seen with Andrew Lincoln, Danai Guarira and other Walking Dead cast members in the six-episode Walking Dead spinoff that airs in 2020. The animated adult series Captain Fall will premiere on Netflix in the month of July 2023. Brandt will be starring alongside Jason Ritter Anthony Carrigan Chris Meloni. Lesley-Ann Brandt is an South African actress who was born in Cape Town, South Africa on 2nd December 1981. She is quite a talented New Zealand actress. Lesley Brandt, along with her entire family moved from the United States to Auckland New Zealand back in 1999. She began her career working in Auckland as a retail store owner, and was then elevated to an IT management consultant. After a few modelling projects, Lesley appeared in many commercials. She completed her acting major in 2008 and continues to research Meisner's techniques. The first time she was seen on screen in New Zealand was as a TV actor on Diplomatic Immunity. Lesley Brandt appeared in the New Zealand drama Shortland Street as a supporting visitor part. Then she appeared on the Sci-fi action thriller This Is Not My Life which is based on the anecdote of Waimoana. Lesley Brandt appeared as Naevia an innocent hostage in the Television show Spartacus: Blood and Sand. Her character was depicted in the Spartacus: Gods of the Arena.
